from 140 reviewsGot this unit as I needed an all-in-one battery charger solar charger sine wave inverter I live off grid and have solar and a generator this unit is simple to set up and wire works great to keep batteries full automatically switches between generator and solar use the digital menu is a little bit tricky but use the enclosed guide book and take your time to learn what all of the functions do so you can use it to its full ability mine is running my home daily since I got it with no troubles at all even when running at 100% output fans come on automatically and the unit works perfectly
Only used for about a month so far but it's a great all in one solution....handles quite a few panels & with the aux AC input can be set up to auto compensate when solar can't keep up & battery bank is discharging below acceptable level. I am very pleased at the MPPT controller & 5KW inverter...it loafs along effortlessly running numerous heavy duty power supplies for my high power radios & RF amps in Ham shack all while running AC unit (110VAC Mini-split) & refrigerator etc.....I've never even come close to maxing it out. It's also pretty quiet except for short periods where internal fans run up speed but even that isn't too bad. Solar made easy
Great Equipment for Power outages. Also provides hybrid mode, you can save power consumption by solar injection combined with utility supply, maintaining battery at float level.
Installed a bit ago wanted to give panels proper review. GREAT PANELS !! Work well have had no issues at all boon dock camp
And never worry about batteries
I feel this good company (Calpha Solar) need some acknowledgment of its good products. The Calpha 100ah battery works like a charm. I'm using them to run a 48v inverter for 300-watt continuous load and I have no problem so far. When I had questions, the rep contacted me right away and I'd also talked to a US technical engineer. The support was excellent, pleasant, and the rep is very helpful. I'm just learning to work with solar harvesting and when it times to step up to large battery storage my transition was successful. The batteries fully charge and discharge as expected. I am got ample of storage and energy. I don't have the equipment to accurately test, but the amount of wattage I've measured using a kil-a-watt shows that I'm getting the promised amperages. I live in the Los Angeles area, and shipping is fast -- like 3 days -- faster then I'd expected. I'm not paid for endorsement of any kind by the company; this is just my way of showing I appreciate its services.
I have been running it for a week now. No issues works as advertised. If I have any problems I will update the review.
customer service has been a big help with my questions regarding my battery.
I like these machines so much, I brought for myself and for friends;the price is affordable for the results.
And ,when something inappropriate happens there are team members from Calpha Solar, and the store ,and the manufacturer to assist you, support you until satisfaction...
I'm a fan of Calpha Solar !
They have been working way better than the other 3 brands I have and the look clean as well.
I don't know about portability, it was one of the features to rate, but these aren't meant to be really portable. I would recommend these and have to a buddy working on an off-grid addition.
5000 watts 48 volt inverter. I Use for 2018 golf club car battery charging & home emergency power station . Berry Happy!!!!!!??????????Thank you very much Calpha Solar!!!
Really nice people to deal with I can tell they really care. I have reached out to them several times for tech support and have been very responsive to me. Looking forward to building my system bigger with Calpha. Thank you Calpha team !
I have purchased two of these kits now and they work amazing. One is on a shed and one is on a camper so nothing huge with constant use but 2 batteries charge just fine and has been able to keep everything going that I need. Easy to hook up as they have it all labeled.
I have an older version of this inverter that always had a flicker from the light bulbs. I bought a Meanwell inverter that solved the problem but it died after three years. I bought this one and as far as I can tell there is zero flicker. They must have improved the part that creates the sine wave. The rest of the features have always been good. The setup is important, but once you get it dialed in to your needs, it just works.
I develop an issue with this inverter, after contacting Tech support. The issue was identified to be one of the cooling fans not functioning properly. They sent me a pair of fans free of charge and now my inverter is up and running once more.
